“I love how they turned out!!! I’m so excited for them to receive these at Christmas!”

– M.F.

“Thank you for creating this masterpiece for my girls! We LOVE it!”

– C.B.

Ok, this is exciting! Let me walk you through it. First thing I need to know from you is if you want me to do a whole new artwork from scratch or if you want a small change to one of my already completed illustrations. You can see the full catalog of my illustrations here: https://www.priscilasoares.com/myluckyears-collection (don’t worry, it will open on a new tab so you can come back here easily)

For example, sometimes people want something just like a painting I already created but they want the hair color or the hearing device to be a different color or style. Or they want their own pet instead of one of the characters in it. Those changes are usually much faster for me to do and I tend to charge a small extra fee depending on what the request it.

Here’s a visual example for you to see the difference:

Small change example:

Here they asked me to do a slight variation on my Little Mermaid painting. They asked me to change her hair color and hearing device to match their child’s. I even included the little bow on her head per their request.

Artwork from scratch example:

Here the mom sent me pictures and requested something related to her daughter’s favorite things: soccer, super heroes and she wanted to include their two little dogs. I sketched 3 different ideas and this is the one she picked.

Requesting an Art Commission is different from buying an original or a print. Make sure you understand the process:

WETHER YOU WANT A VARIATION FROM AN EXISTING PAINTING I ALREADY CREATED, OR IF YOU'RE REQUESTING AN ENTIRELY NEW ARTWORK, PLEASE READ THE PROCESS ON HOW WE WOULD WORK TOGETHER:

  • First and foremost, have you gotten acquainted with my art? Every artist has its own style, so it’s important that you feel a strong connection with my way of portraying people.
  • Requesting a commissioned art piece does not guarantee that you will receive one. I will be looking into your request and getting back to you with further information.
  • After you send me the request, you will receive a response from me on my availability.
  • I will be asking you some questions so I can get to know a little more about the person(s) being portrayed on your piece.
  • We will communicate back and forth via email, phone or, if possible, in person so we can create a positive relationship and be able to achieve a great result.
  • Specific photographs will be requested for reference.
  • Based on everything I learn from you, I will introduce to you my idea for the piece and give you a quote.
  • A non-refundable deposit will be made to secure my time to be spent on your future new art piece.
  • From the moment I begin to paint, it takes me at least from 2 to 4 weeks to complete a commissioned piece, depending on what it involves and what other projects I have going on at the time. I will give you the estimated timeline when we begin. No changes in direction will be allowed during the creation process.
  • I will be posting my progress via social media and sharing them with you (unless specifically agreed by both parties to keep it private).
  • You will be notified once the piece is completed and final payment will be expected once it’s ready for shipping or pick up.
  • Commission prices depends upon the size and material of print. Payment plans can be arranged upon request (artwork will be shipped only when final payment is made).
  • Even though I do art in many mediums, as of right now I’m doing my commissions on a high resolution digital paintings or Acrylics only. In case of digital paintings, the final artwork will be printed in the material and size of your choice.
