Celebrated
Whimsical artwork inspired by hearing differences—creating spaces filled with joy, connection, and belonging for families, classrooms, and hearing professionals.

Why MyLuckyEars?
At 17, I had ear surgery that was supposed to help improve my hearing.
Instead, I woke up unable to hear from my right ear.
Doctors couldn’t explain why. They told me there was less than a 1% chance of that happening.
For years, those words stayed with me: Bad luck.
Until I realized something:
I couldn’t change what happened.
But I could change the meaning I gave it.
I transformed something I once saw as a loss into one of my greatest sources of creativity, connection, and purpose.
Today, my artwork celebrates hearing differences through whimsical illustrations that help children, families, educators, and hearing professionals create spaces filled with joy, belonging, and representation.
Through illustrations, books, collaborations, and speaking events, my mission remains the same — to help people see hearing differences not as limitations, but as unique parts of who they are.
My ears were never bad luck.
They became my lucky ears.
