I love the way Justin shows his everyday interactions and the observations he has about his life as a person who is deaf with a cochlear implant in a very humorous way. At the same time, he’s breaking taboos and connecting people from all kinds of backgrounds and stories. It’s not surprise that he has quickly grown a fanbase of thousands of followers!

The Story of Justin

I was born hearing until the age of two, when I became Deaf with Waardenburg Syndrome. My mother is hearing and my father was deaf.

My father didn’t want his children to go deaf like him because he knew what it was like to struggle growing up with no communication and technology, so I received my first cochlear implant when I was 6 and went through years of speech therapy to learn how to hear and speak.

I love to make people smile and laugh everyday and I love to watch comedy shows and standup comedy. Many times my family and friends told me that I needed to do something with my comedy, but I never did until Covid hit and everything changed.

I started my comedy on social media based on my life experiences as a Deaf person and educating people about Deaf people. I’m educating as much as I can because I wants to show everyone that being Deaf isn’t sad or depressing and to help both Deaf and Hearing people to bridge in together more than ever. I’m now pursuing my dream to travel as a comedian on a comedy tour and continue to Advocate for the Deaf.
