The Caring Compassionate
Misty tells the story of her 14 year old son, Holden. Like me, he has a condition called cholesteatoma and even though he’s had many surgeries and some hard times, he shows up as a caring advocate of others. Holden’s story had a lot of parts that I could relate to and I hope you will be inspired by this compassionate young man. I wanted to capture Holden’s true heart in this painting. In my opinion, this pose gives us a sense of calm but at the same time, he seems to be paying attention to us, listening! At last, I wanted to show how his Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (BAHAs) now give him access to new sounds he’s finally able to hear.
